“I Want To Ride With Kelly Clark”
“I think in order to pursue anything, you really need to commit like your entire heart to it.” —Kelly Clark

Up on Mount Snow, Vermont USA, Bailey waited over an hour for Olympic gold and bronze medalist Kelly Clark to sign her snowboard. She was first in the autograph line and didn’t mind the wait because Kelly Clark is Bailey’s hero. She signed Bailey’s snowboard, jacket and a poster.
Twenty-six-year-old Kelly is a gifted and creative athlete who at age 18 achieved the pinnacle in sportsmanship when she won an Olympic gold medal in women’s halfpipe at the 2002 Salt Lake Games. Even more inspiring is the fact that during a practice run just three days before the final she suffered injuries, including a broken wrist. At the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver in January, Kelly’s third Olympic competition, she took the bronze in women’s halfpipe.
Kelly was eight when she started snowboarding in Vermont. Bailey is psyched that she and Kelly share the same home mountain, Mount Snow, the same passion for the halfpipe, and the same dream: to be the best female snowboarders in the world.
